The Star Gulch Church, a local independent church with a youth focus, has rented out the old VFW on Kramer. I just walked by and saw a bunch of hip young people carrying in couches from a moving truck. They say Star Gulch is one of those new churches where everyone sits on couches and there's a free arcade and the priest is all like "Yo people you got to understand that Jesus is the Batman of God!" It sounds like a pretty good time, especially if you're a woman who needs her role on earth more clearly explained to her. Maybe I'll swing by once they open: services are scheduled to begin next Thursday.
